Creative Inspiration.
Honest Craft.
Jeffrey Loftus comes from a family of dentists who have served the Black Hills with integrity and excellent care. Here at Loft 127, we strive to bring that same level of care and quality to every project — whether it be a custom porch swing or a timber frame passive home.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain."
Psalm 127:1 · The heart behind Loft 127
A portion of every project goes into a community-blessing fund — set aside to cover materials and labor for neighbors who need safe, warm, dignified work and can't afford it. The hope is bigger: a support network that lets us one day take on whole projects for free, built on the love of Jesus.

Building and Hanging a Custom Porch Swing On Site for Hillary Swank
Built from clear douglas fir and finished with teak oil — a full-size hanging swing bed, cut, joined, and hung on-site at a lakeside home in Washington. Every joint was fit by hand in the driveway before it went up under the porch.
It's the sort of job that doesn't make headlines, but it's exactly the work Loft 127 is built for — honest craft, done right, wherever the project happens to be.

The Honest Policy
No surprises, no vague numbers. Here's exactly what to expect.
Do you charge for estimates?
Phone calls are always free — we can talk through your project and figure out if it makes sense before anyone drives anywhere. On-site visits and written estimates are billed for my time. It keeps things serious on both sides, and the estimate fee credits toward your project when you hire Loft 127.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Loft 127 Construction is a licensed South Dakota general contractor (license #AEC5441) and fully insured.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Rapid City, Summerset, Sturgis, Spearfish, Black Hawk, Piedmont, Box Elder, Hill City, and the greater Black Hills.
What kinds of projects do you take?
From repairs and punch lists to full new home builds, kitchen and bath remodels, additions, and commercial tenant improvements.
How do I get started?
Call 605-787-1485 for a free phone consult. If it makes sense, we schedule a paid on-site visit and I send a written proposal.
